If you're not in a rush look for the table of the guy that was doing stock refinishing and checkering at the big HAC's swap meet in Febuary out here in Chilliwack. He had examples of his work there last year and it was superb. We're talking not just plain checkering either. He had examples of a variety of styles both with plain diamond shaped borders, shaped borders and even one, not cheap I'm sure, with lovely hand cut floral pattern "checkering".
And no, I don't have a clue how to find him, where he lives or anything else. But more likely than not he'll be back at the HAC's show again. Or perhaps someone reading this will recall this fellow and did get his card.
