Perhaps it's a magazine well. Can't tell if the shorter spring is round or rectangular, but it might be a magazine spring. The longer one may be a striker spring.

I'm not certain, but the magazine well may be from a Winchester model 69.

Yup, it is for a 69A for sure. Bolt release button on the left side of the stock.
