An Inland carbine I picked up last year. 25 rounds of AE 110gr FMJ. 40 yards, indoor range. I figured not bad considering these were the first 25 rounds down the barrel that day and I forgot my spotting scope so I had no idea where they were going other than in the black.
The second target with 25 rounds was about as good with 2 rounds outside the black. (I was rushing it a bit).
Was hoping to let off some rounds with the Underwood but things just didn't work out. Hope to get to the 100 yd outdoor range in the next little while and will post pics then.
I've got two ...and one is for sale right now on the EE
Here is how the restricted IBM did at 100yrds. I am not sure what the military standards were for accuracy testing M1 carbines but this seems alright to me.
Each group of five were shot fairly rapidly. It impresses me that you can hit an area the size of a helmet at this distance with quick trigger pulls. Its design to fill the gap between the Garand and M1911A1 was obviously effective, as there is no way I could shoot that same way with my Garand or a pistol and have the same result.
Such a fun little rifle!
I have 2 also (IBM and Inland). I don't take them out much for shooting but last time I did my groups would be larger than jibjedi above (I'm not that great of a shot). If I bench it I could pull it in about as tight as above. They are definitely fine firearms.
