Is the left barrel rifled with conventional rifling? I have a hammer Colindian and both barrels are oval bored about .018 out of round with 1 turn in 56". The rib has rifle sights and the gun is a hammer gun.
From another list, there apparently were only 150 Colindians made hammer and hammerless combined. As a shotgun, I would consider it fairly close range with no choke and the twist to open the patten up. As a rifle mine is going to take some more playing with. I made a mold up that more or less duplicates the original bullet and I made the diameter about midway between bore and groove. I can't remember the group size but while it has possiblities, it is also not a quick out of the box shooter.

Both barrels are oval bore rifled. I expect that with shot, the patterns might open fairly quickly, although for grouse, etc. should be just fine. I do not know what sort of bullet the original cartridge used - whether conventional Paradox style cartridges would have been used, or whether Lancaster marketed his own proprietary ammunition.

I had a oval bored gun by Clarke from birmingham at one time and it came with a mould serial numbered to the gun. This mould is the same as the holland pardox mould and I have been using this bullet in my H&H pardox. Didn't have much luck yet but plan on using nitro loads from a artice in the double gun journal. This bullet was also used in a Rigby this fall and had good results
I think I would start to look for a gun to have the barrel fit to, are the barrel nitro proof or for black powder.
