I'm a Carpenter and I think if your action and barrel aren't bedded to the stock what good is a stock mounted sight? realisticaly the choat scope mounts are the best for mounting long range optics and the scout style bc tactical rear leaf mount appears to be good for red dot. both of these make the optics quite high above the barrel as it is. what are you hoping to achieve here a ruger 10/22 style marauder or arch angel kinda setup? is this for sks? make up some drawings.
