Deltapoint Pro

Considering the Leupold Deltapoint Pro for my 45/70 bear defender. Does anyone have one of these and what do you think of it.
I'm wondering if can handle the big load, heavy recoil and maintain it's sight alignment.

I've liked all the Deltapoint Pro's I've looked through, and owned one of the original delta points.

I think they're fast and bright on a gamer gun, but for something that might be slung, dragged through some bush, and then possibly dropped: I'd spend my money on a Shield.

I've seen British soldiers do absolutely horrendous things to their's up close and they keep working.


That being said, you might like the view through a delta point better, and the micro-irons are kindof neat on there.
