does any one out there know if any such software exists that runs on a handheld (palm) that uses density altitude rather than the standard input of all the individual variables ( temp, press, humidity, alt....) ?? this would be so much more simple and easy to input and follow. thanks a lot guys.

I'm using the Nightforce PPC program on an Ipaq. I have to input the altitude, temperature and the relative humidity. Then the program corrects the pressure according to altitude. There is a box that you can select that allows the program to calculate the standard pressure. I'm not sure if that answers your question or not.....I'm not 100% sure what density altitude means.

Would it be OK if you entered temp, press, humidity, alt.... just once, and the program filled it in as a default? Or do you vary these things a lot?
My program does the default thing, but I'm interested in user needs.

C'mon Steve, piece of cake! :)

hey now ian.... i can do the math;), and am not that dumb( after all i am smart enough to buy krieger barrels!!):D:D, it is just that my kestrel gives me this and it would be so much easier to input rather than all the individual variables. i am currently using the nightforce exbal on my palm, i like the portability but just think it would be that much easier if a guy could spend more time pulling the trigger and less time typing with a mini pen, if you know what i am saying:)

It's actually a very good question! Being someone that has to wear a hockey helmet to do math, I totally understand wanting to simplify!
