hi guys amd gals:

i'm sure this has been asked many times before but couldn't find it on a simple search.if a case is dented from extraction, does this mean the case is scrap or can it be reformed depending on the depth of the dent?also, are extractor/ejector marks something to worry about to a reloader?another ? i'd like to ask is if anyone wants or can use berdan primed brass or if not do u know any good scrap place in the mtl. or north shore area who could take it for recycling purposes.i'm just trying to do my part to "save the earth".1 last ?(i know, sooo many ?'s)is really dirty/corroded brown brass that's been lying in the sand pit for months safe to tumble and reload?thanks in advance.

Most people ignore berdan primed brass. Take it to the metal recyclers. I saved up enough berdan brass last year to get one free pound of H4831 SC. ($40.00)
Most dents come out of the brass upon firing. Be sure the dent is not a cut before you size or load the round.
Carry on!

If you are talking about a badly dented case mouth, just use a tapered punch to make the mouth round again before you size the case. Ejector and extractor marks are not very important.

thanks for all the replies.i haven't started reloading yet--i'm going to wait a bit and see how successful the cpc is in repealing all those crappy gun laws.

toyboy: Not to discourage you or anything - Waiting for the CPC to do anything might be a bit frustrating, unless you plan to live to be 113!! Get into reloading now and enjoy.
