Soooo my girlfriend, whom i will refer to from now on as Derpina, accidently threw away my sks bolt as it was in a leaky container full of wd40 that I had it sitting in for a few days....... f:P:

My question is, where can i find a bolt for my now inoperable and value diminished sks? I have checked marstar and they are all sold out, and not sure how often they get parts in. Any leads would be appreciated
 
Once you get one, you'll need to check the head space most likely. IIRC, the bolt is one of the few SKS parts that isn't interchangeable.
 
lever arms... why didnt i think of that. They do have them in stock thanks for the info. Maybe a dumb question but i wonder if there will be any variances between a russian and chinese made bolt. Im going to go with the assumption that there isn't.

I've heard that, befor but the headspace is determined by the locking lug, not the bolt. Although it is true that you should stick with the original bolt, I would be surprised if there was that much of a change in headspace.
I have at one time or other interchanged the bolts on a few SKSs and had no problem. I don't doubt that it is a good idea to check headspace but personally I wouldn't lose sleep over it.
Just my opinion.
