Another question kids.

Apparently a run of MK-12's that just arrived didn't come with a bolt release lever (mine is one). do you think an AR15 aftermarket one would fit?

Someone in another Derya thread said that the MK-12 is not meant to chamber with the bolt release, and doing so may be hit or miss (pull back charging handle instead). So maybe the lack of bolt release is intentional.

^^^ there should be a replacement for that which has an actual pad on it. I have seen pictures. It's about the only thing I can complain about.
Well that and it should have an 18.5 barrel instead of the 20
But I'm really hoping we can either buy the part or one from another gun will fit.

Someone has done it with a MK10 - like a MAGPUL BAD or similar, but comments suggest a BAD does not fit a MK10. Looks to me like the recessed mounting of the MK12 release would require a different design anyway.

Since the charging handle was made ambi, expect to rip up your hand when charging from the left hand side. Mine just has a small nub and ripped part of my thumb open on it. I can see why they had it on there, in prototypes then took it off in production. I heard they were going to offer it as an after market part, but honestly I much prefer just bringing the charging handle back a bit to drop the bolt.

Mine appear to stick out / be more proud than the one in the photo, in the photo about it looks a lot closer to flush.

Bout my only complaint as well. Seen the videos with the paddle, but, mine isn't one of those. Tried to depress it twelve ways to breakfast and nada Only way I can get it to chamber is to pull the bolt back manually. Doesn't really take away the fun I have with the gun though....

The pic is deceiving as I took it straight on - you are correct in that it sits just over 1/8" (0.13) above the top part of the receiver.
I have to give it quite a push/smack to work it.

My complaint about this shotgun are the cheap BUIS - really just airsoft quality..... otherwise it is plain old fun to shoot.

Just got a new MK12 myself, would love to install a BAD lever and ambi safety. the Diameter of the barrel on the Safety is a little larger than the DPMS ambi I happened to have.
Anyone have success sourcing and installing either of the above?
