Hey everyone....first time posting but have read many from the site.

I was hoping someone could help me with a question (yes, new gun owner lol) a little embarassing but here goes...

I just received my Derya MK12 and was doing the initial clean and setup and all went well.

I thought I'd try to attach an Atlas Bipod with the S-lever (for the fun of it) that I purchased for another rifle I'm still waiting on and for the life of me I couldn't get it locked on. It was as it the slots on the Picatinny rail weren't deep enough.
When I would lose the S-lever, The edges of the bipod wouldn't grab the edges of the rail...as if the Picatinny slots werent deep enough. I adjusted the screw, tried everything.....

Am I missing somethig here or do I need an a special bipod adapter or???

A little embarassing...lol

Thanks!!

Lol... my original MK10 is the same way. Nothing I tries to mount would grab the edges of the rail. The cuts were not deep enough. O'Dell (the importer/ warranty people) didnt want to help me out at all. Said they were all like that. I did find a mk12 in a local shop that was cut properly. I though they fixed the issue. I guess not.

I had to get a local machinist to cut a couple lugs deeper in the rail and can mount anything in those spots.

If you don't mind how it looks, the side of a flat bastard file will work in a pinch. Just take your time and go slow as it's easier to take material off than it is to put it back on.

Thanks for that....I guess the problem persists. I borrowed a buddies flashlight from an AR he has and it wouldn't mount either on the MK12....guess luck of the draw.

You are not alone as the Derya does not have a mil-spec pic rail and is not compatible with many mounts.

Brought out my digital calipers and did some measuring
Mil-spec pic slots = 5.3mm
Derya pic slots = 4.9mm
If you want to mount anything to the Derya pic rail securely, you're going to have get rid of .4mm of material to open the slots.
