Just curious what the collective experiences of the forum are regarding thread pitch on the Derya TM-22 series of rifles. I purchased one recently in the original short handguard/skeletonized buttstock configuration. I don't think it's NOS but the safety on mine is still upside down, so I'm not quite sure. Up for fire and down for safe.

Anyway, I know our American friends with the RIA version of the rifle had some problems initially with a non standard thread pitch on their rifles. And I wondered if any rifles, specifically those marketed under the Derya name that were sold in Canada, suffered the same fate.

I've seen adds up from dealers saying that the pitch is 1/2-28. Is that true in your experience and if not, what did the pitch end up being? Thanks.

I have the long hand guard version and it has the standard thread pitch
I put an ar15 type flash hider on it and it worked perfectly

Mine was 1/2x28 but it was poorly threaded . I had to run a 1/2x28 die over it to thread on a flash hider
I think this is the case with my long handguard version. I cant thread anything on to it.
Decided it wasn't a big deal because I don't want the barrel protruding any longer than it already is anyways.

My short handguard early version is threaded fine.

Same for me except I put a Yankee Hill compensator on mine (not that it needs a comp but it looks cool & I had one kicking around). Also had the correct orientation for the safety. I think the long handguard versions have eliminated the original problems.

Not all the long handguards have the correct thread pitch or safety.

I bought mine about two months ago and it had the 1/2x28 thread pitch and the correct safety orientation. Maybe it depends on where they were sourced (mine was from Marstar).
