We finally got the deagle to cycle properly yesterday with loads of 16gr H100 and 14.5gr A2400 with 158gr Hornady XTP.

Thing is I also bought some 180gr XTP and the load data on the Hornady manual stops at 13gr @1050fps for H110. Forgot to look at 2400 but it's not as dense as the H110 so it would compress the power IMO. This isn't going to cycle the deagle.

Any ideas on a load or where to start with H110?

Boy was it fun to shoot!! And we had the range to ourselves so no newbies were scared in the testing :p It's got the muzzle brake , need to slow-mo video next time.

I have a 44mag and a 50AE. Neither with brakes. The 357 with brake must be soft like a puffy 9mm. Wish I could try it without having to pay an arm and a leg for a barrel+bolt+mag.

My usual load for 357mag is 16.3grn H110 with a campro 158grn, so I'm pretty close to your load. I use it in a revolver but it has been used in a deagle too. For 180grn (Nosler part), Hodgdon propose 13.0-13.5grn of H110. I don't think it'll create a sufficient volume of gas to cycle properly even at max load. You could definitely try it, and report whether it cycles correctly with that load, but I'm not optimistic. You could push it over max load if you have a chrony and see a low velocity, but I believe if you want heavier bullets you'll need to check for a 44 barrel.

Have you searched online for H110 recipes with 180 in the 357? There are other loading tables (not private wing nuts) that go past
Hornady. I've used them in 44 and 45.
