my question is ...if anybody shoots a desert eagle and reloads for it have you ever had this problem.....the action will not close the last say....3/16's on an inch........the gun works on factory loads....but when I reload mine 1,2-3 will work and the action will not close or the action will not close on all the rounds.....any help or suggestions ....pm me .................thanks for any info davide

Sounds like you forgot to crimp your bullets. If you flared the casings at all you need to take that out or you experience exactly the problem you have.

Can also result from overcrimping. As mentioned above, the Lee FCD is the best investment for ensuring fits the way its supposed to post-loading.

I agree, definitely sounds like the bullet either is not crimped, or is not seated deeply enough in the case. Check the maximum overall length that came provided with your dies and measure a random set from your reloads.

If the crimp is the problem, it will be fairly obvious, the end of the case will flare out from the bullet slightly. Just adjust your crimp or get a crimp die. (Depends on what type of dies you own)

If the bullet is not seated deep enough, then it will be over the max allowed length provided on the instructions of your dies, or on the net. Just adjust the depth of your dies in the press to seat the bullet further down in the case.

Good luck.

Next time you say clip when reffering to a magazine, we're cutting your #### off. You have been warned.
Say it enough and it may just fall off by itself.

As far as the waste of $2000 comment, Its all what you are into. Some people put random gadgets on their AR or some people want one of the most bad ass looking handgun available for the sheer fun of it.
