Desert Eagle conversion kit after C21

Hey guys, so I did finally track down my Desert Eagle, The thing is it's only 44 mag, I really want it in .50. Will they be importing these conversion kits in the future? they aren't serialized right? so I can buy one even after the 'good times' are over? Do they have to be Gen specific?

Ha Ha ! That's kinda' funny - never heard anyone say - "It's only a .44 Mag". I have both and I don't really think the .44 gives up much to the .50 AE. I've run some fairly stout loads through the .44 (my own loads) and "Factory" ones through the .50 and my loads have more kick than the factory .50's I've tried - (Hornady - if you're curious) Another consideration, if you don't reload - you'll have a much easier time sourcing .44 Rem. Mag. - than .50 AE. Less pricy, too.
Good luck with your search. I'm sure you will find what you're looking for. I've seen the conversions come up on the EE - just have to be patient and keep looking.
 
Haha, I bought a 50 but wanted a 44 (because 50 ammo doesn't exist north of the 49). I ordered a conversionn from IRunGuns. Still yet to receive the gun or the conversion though.
 
C21 isn't the thing you need to be concerned about; The handgun transfer freeze has been done via a change in regulations not via bill c21, thus the freeze will take place regardless of if/when C21 passes.

That said, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to get non-serialized parts into the country post-freeze, however you might find it hard to actually find one in stock and might have to special order it.
