Desert Eagle Feeding Problem

Just picked up a brand new one in 44 mag. The gun shoots fine, its just that the last round never chambers properly. The slide will either not go all the way forward or the cartridge gets jammed trying to enter the barrel. All of my three mags do this.
Im shooting Wolf Bullets ammo which came highly recommended. I tried different ammo and it still happened but not as much as the Wolf stuff.

Help!, anyone experience this?

Do you mean you can push the slide forward a bit then it chambers properly?

First, check to make sure it is clean and properly lubed (everytime I get a new gun it gets a detail stripping), then if the problem continues, it could be a weak recoil spring. Get a new recoil spring and you should be good to go :)

sometimes you could push the slide forward, sometimes the cartridge gets jammed and you cannot push the slide forward.

"weak spring". the gun performs perfectly with each round fired untill the last one. would that still constiute a weak spring?

I will have to clean it thouroghly and try it out.

I used to have that problem, It's two fold: replace new recoil springs with new recoil springs (call Magnum Research and they will send for free under warranty if it's new with proof of purchase). Second thing is to stiff arm it as best you can and try to control muzzle flip so slide can go back to battery. Hot brass in the face usually reminds me to stiff arm it. Easy to forget. Hope this helps.

it took me a couple of boxes of ammo to learn how to hold that thing. it is so big and heavy, a normal hold doesn't work.

don't push the mag while shooting
don't limp wrist it.
make sure the mags are factory.
are you overloading the mag? 44 should hold 8 rounds, but 9 do usually fit.

heavier recoil loads seem to be recommended to smooth out loading problems in the DEs. I used to buy tons of H110 full power loads that a local dealer reloaded for .44 mag DEs, had some nice punch to it!

+1 for the high power loads. uses a rotating bolt gas system, not a blowback. needs more punch to work right. and no lead.
