Desert Eagle opinions....

I've shot 300+ rounds out of mine and there isn't even a hint of a scratch. It's an amazingly tough finish. I'll be using mine for an IPSC match this year. Can't wait.

I got a DE..in .44 mag....love it .and I fine that not all peole have the same taste.....my only regret is that I should of bought the gold finished one ...Dame that's nice .....but other than the odd jam.....who cares I love it ..............the look on other peoples faces when you stand next and shoot .....PRICELESS.......DESERT EAGLE.....ALL THE WAY ...BABY!!!!!!!

That's wicked Chris. Would the Canadian Forces let you take the DE with you in the cockpit? It would be awesome to pull out the DE .50AE if you get shot down. Those insurgents would sh!t bricks:owned:. LOL

On a serious note what does the CF give you as a cockpit gun?

you only get a sidearm when you deploy, and im not 100% sure but itd probably either be the Sig225 or the Browning. That said, ill be doing everything i can to have my G22 tucked safely on one side, my DE on the other, and my G27 on my ankle....and maybe a few others...in case of emergency...lol

Mostly a movie gun, but still fun to shoot if you use a powder like WW-296 to make lots of muzzle flash. Big, heavy, and for the price and prestige, the trigger is the ####s, and a piece such as this should come with an adjustable rear sight.........really, and too many failures to feed for my praise. I prefer my M-29 much more, so I sold the big bird.

I've never had any issues in reliability with mine with ME firing it.;) Holding the gun properly will eliminate the jamming problems.

As for reloading for it, if you use max loads (in the 50AE) it will perform flawlessly. Cast bullets should not be used in a Desert Eagle pistol as someone suggested (buying a mould) as it will clog it up.

As for buying a Desert Eagle in 357 magnum, would you buy a Mustang with a 4 cylinder engine?:p

The 50 AE Desert Eagle is what it is, a huge powerful (extremely fun) semi-auto handgun!
