What caliber, if any, can one in canada get a desert eagle in? I know one can get the baby eagle, or the bfr, or any other MR guns for that matter, but what about the grandaddy .50 AE?

I have a feeling canadians are SOL when it comes to that, but just thought I would ask because i really don't know.

You can get the 50AE, quite expensive though. The ammo is just as expensive, and hard to find. (reload!)

There are a few people on here who have them. Most of the 105MM + barreled handguns made be magnum research are available... the baby eagle seems to be the most "practical". But hey, if you have the money and a hanker'n... knock yourself out! :D

Questar use to have a link on their site... can anyone post it??

Myself, I want one bad... but for the cost I can think of a few other things I want more. No problems getting DE's in Canada... they are only rare because of the cost :)

Enjoy! :D

If you buy the 50AE, keep a tight outward pushing grip, elbow locked with the right hand while pulling back with the left hand (tight grip - index finger griping outside front of trigger guard). Pay attention to the clockwise torque and recoil generated or casings will nail you in the face! I would recommend getting the 44mag barrel as well - just for some economical fun!

If I would ever get one it would be in .44mag. I’ve shot a DE in .50 and .44mag back to back and there isn’t much difference. Maybe 5-10% more recoil with the five O...

But .44mag is MUCH cheaper and easier to find. If you reload you can shoot a box for the price of factory 9mm. ;) .50 will be a few $ per shot!!!

And of course .357mag is for girls :p

I've had my chances of buying a DE in 357MAG and 50AE, but I bought chambering 44MAG instead. I don't reload, so 50AE would of been a silly choice, and the 357 MAG just didn't have enough kick to make it feel like a DE. But if you're asking me my personal opinion about the gun, I found that it was no more than a novelty item and the novelty wore off pretty quick, so I sold it.

I was very close to buying the 24K gold .50AE one from TSE for $2K. I wanted it so bad, but sadly couldn't really afford it at the time. And now it is sold so I will have to wait until I can find another one.

I got to fondle a .44Mag a few months ago. Nice pistol. I think it was goin for just under $1000. They are kinda ugly though, not exactly my cup of tea... not to say I wouldn't buy one :D (god, I have a diesease)
