Detachable Box Mag Conversion for M70

Hi everyone. I have a Left Handed Winchester Model 70 with a hinged floor plate 30.06 and I was wondering if it is possible to convert it to a detachable box mag? Have any of you done this conversion? How was it done? And were would I go to get the parts to do this myself? Any info would help me out.

Winchester made factory Model 70's with detachable mags for a few years in the 90's. Can't see why it wouldn't work on a lefty.

There must be factory parts somewhere.

I don't know if this would work but I'm going to throw the idea out there at the risk of looking like a complete fool. Badger Ordnance has a triggerguard kit that is for Remington's and uses a AICS magazine. Could it be modified? Can we get their stuff up here? I don't know. Just a thought, cause I remember reading about it in Rifle Shooter a few years back.

CDI precision makes a DBM kit for mod70s. I don't know if they still ship to canada but I think there are a couple sponsors on here that carry their product.

Go to the Winchester site,and check the parts PDF. If you find the parts for the dbm there,get ahold of Western Gun Parts. They're the Winchester parts reps for Canada.
