I believe there was a version of Model 70 from Winchester that was made with detachable magazine? I have a 1983 "Westerner" in 22-250 - just trigger guard - no bottom metal at all - is a repeater, but only has wood on the bottom - a la "Ranger", that were made for a while. Then several XTR and Sporter Magnums - but they all had hinged floor plates - I never owned one with the factory detachable magazine set-up.
My own experience with detachable magazines for hunting was pretty grim - was a Parker Hale 30-06 - the detachable magazine fell out at the first shot at a deer with that rifle - was a pretty "crude and rude" system to hold that mag in there. We used a Remington 788 for many years - as per the post above - I think that one worked well - IF you remembered to bring the magazine - that one had to be removed to re-fill it - other systems allow you to "top up" the magazine through the top, but not that 788. I spent from 2004 to 2015 using Ruger No. 1 for deer hunting - so no magazine to worry about - I took many dozen deer with that one - was a 7x57.
I also have a Schultz and Larsen M60 - confuses many users - is an "ejection port" on top right of receiver, not a "loading port" - you will loose a lot of skin from fingers trying to fill that magazine through the ejection port. From User Instructions, insert one round through ejection port into chamber - close bolt and put safety "on safe" - flip rifle upside down and open the hinged floor plate - drop in three rounds into magazine - does not matter right or left first - that follower is "ambidextrous". Close floor plate - is all loaded with 4 rounds on board - that one is chambered in 7x61 S&H.
