detachable box mag for Winchester Model 70 ?

Do you mean like these ? http s://www.stockysstocks.com/m5-stealth-dm-detachable-magazine-system-winchester-model-70-short-action-accuracy-international-magazines.html
I don't know if there's a dealer up here in Can.
I don't have a Win-70, but I have a Rem-722 in 308 that was modded with the Magpul AICS system. I've got some 5-round mags for it and they work just fine. My Rem 700 OEM was very difficult to load with a scope & rail 'in the way', not very conducive to quick loading having to work around that mess. I find the AICS very handy.

I believe there was a version of Model 70 from Winchester that was made with detachable magazine? I have a 1983 "Westerner" in 22-250 - just trigger guard - no bottom metal at all - is a repeater, but only has wood on the bottom - a la "Ranger", that were made for a while. Then several XTR and Sporter Magnums - but they all had hinged floor plates - I never owned one with the factory detachable magazine set-up.

My own experience with detachable magazines for hunting was pretty grim - was a Parker Hale 30-06 - the detachable magazine fell out at the first shot at a deer with that rifle - was a pretty "crude and rude" system to hold that mag in there. We used a Remington 788 for many years - as per the post above - I think that one worked well - IF you remembered to bring the magazine - that one had to be removed to re-fill it - other systems allow you to "top up" the magazine through the top, but not that 788. I spent from 2004 to 2015 using Ruger No. 1 for deer hunting - so no magazine to worry about - I took many dozen deer with that one - was a 7x57.

I also have a Schultz and Larsen M60 - confuses many users - is an "ejection port" on top right of receiver, not a "loading port" - you will loose a lot of skin from fingers trying to fill that magazine through the ejection port. From User Instructions, insert one round through ejection port into chamber - close bolt and put safety "on safe" - flip rifle upside down and open the hinged floor plate - drop in three rounds into magazine - does not matter right or left first - that follower is "ambidextrous". Close floor plate - is all loaded with 4 rounds on board - that one is chambered in 7x61 S&H.

Thanks for the replies !
Just day dreaming, currently re-barreling a 1979 vintage Win. mod 70 to 6.5 x 47. Was a 22-250 with a shot out barrel, sitting in my gun room collecting dust. Just trying to make it useable again, thought I might try PRS sometime, maybe not, might shoot some silhouette with it.
Point taken re: forgetting / losing detachable mags.

contact Gary at Bighorn Sales. you can get bottom metal conversion to take AI mags and he either has them or will get them. i have modded a couple of long action model 70 rifles in 300 Win Mag this way. you will need to make some modifications to the bottom of the action so the bottom metal fits tight and the mag is level so that it can feed, so there is no real going back, or not easily once you do this modification.

ATRS make detachable mag kits for Model 70 rifles. Not sure which version M70 as there are so many of them and they are all different.
You being in Calgary would make it simple to find out.

Yup M70DBM was the model, they only made it for a year or two.

There was a guy on here who has a whole bunch for sale, I bought one, don't know what happened to the rest.

There are about 4 maybe five versions of the mag depending on cartridge size. "D" is for 30-06 sized cases.

These guys make them, don't know if they ship to canada.
There was one company who sold the conversion
