Detail stripping of the Sig P226...

Does anyone have a good link for detail stripping of the P226 series, or a good book one could buy? I've seen lots of stuff for sale on Ebay, but no mentions detail work...

you mean taking apart the trigger mechanism and stuff? Yikes, "all hope abandon, those who enter here..." (or something like that ). But that's just me.

To take the slide apart, push out the crosspin from the right to the left (with the muzzle facing away from you). After you have that pin out, push the firing pin block safety in, so the firing pin will come out now, and you'll be able to pull out the pin safety (it's a piece of metal with a steel spring inside).

That's as detailed as I'm brave enough to try...

The Sig armourers guide dvd is excellent, literally detailed videos on taking the thing down to a bagfull of parts (and back together again).
