detatchable magazine dilemma... i found it in a tree

you guessed it..

i cant fricken remember where i last sat down the Abolt magazine............

ive just spent 10 days away in the mtns with the kimber, so it was prior to pack away and gather for that trip that ive put it down??


ive looked everywhere i can think of, il wait til day light tomorow and have another look where i normally range shoot in the backyard but sheesh.... $125 aud is the best ive seen....that sucks.


This was never going to happen with the Kimber............


flip side, my Abolt is alot lighter now.:rolleyes:


maybe a Spring hybrid 3 cartridge magazine butcher is in order:onCrack:
 
I was going to say those pesky canadian liberals probably stole your magazine, but I realize it doesn't hold more than 5rds. and you're in Australia.
Canadas new proposed gun restrictions leave me wondering if we firearm enthusiasts here are just about even with you folks over there in terms of persecution?

I have switched all my bolt actions whether it be shooting or hunting to AI style polymer magazines.
I played the propriety magazine game for many years and was turned off by both price and availability.
I realize this isn't applicable to your current A-bolt situation but something to think about in the future if you find yourself in the market.
 
SO- FOUND

when packing ute, 3 weeks ago, i must of decided the magaine was safer (an legal issues) if it was not in my truck but instead, left on the Tree next to my parking arrea....................... so 1 rusted A botl magazine back in pocession!!

i always say magazines are for truck hunters when the 5-0 come rollin round the corner.... eh!


i take bolts out so said rifle cant be misused either... ours must be locked up tho (guns) and Ammo seperately..... no rule on bolts.magazines not being in guns etc.
 
Was gonna say now that you're the proud owner of a single shot, your marksmanship and hunting abilities will be even better, knowing you only have one crack at that game animal!

But I'm happy you found your mag lol
 
Some of you guys should get strings for your mittens so you don't lose then as well. :)
