So it's all confirmed,BB course is Sep 30.

I don't think power factor matters at the BB course, right ?

So without a chrony, how do I tell,or at least get close,to knowing my power factor?
I've loaded six hundred rounds of Campro 115 rn plated, CCI primers, and 3.6 g tightgroup.

Campro don't give any data,as to fps.

Gun is CZ shadow sp01.

124gn berrys over 3.6gn tg makes 142pf. in a cz shadow

Damn, I think my Chrony was out to lunch when I checked one of my loads. I was loading 4.0gr of TG behind a 124gr pill and was getting 130PF. For my BB, I used up my stash of X-Metal pills with 3.6gr TG. They were pretty soft shooting. If they make 142 PF out of my Shadow2, I'm in Heaven.

I'm just going off the Hodgesson reloading chart, and I'm just estimating 1100 fps.
Which would give me s PF of 126?

4.6 tightgroup is almost max load for Campro.

Sound right?

All the shadow 2s around here are chronoing higher than shadow 1s with the same ammo. most people have been able to drop 0.2 grains of TG or so.

With 4.6gr of TG behind a 115gr pill from a 4" barrel should be roughly 1140-1145fps range. Out of a Shadow 4.8" barrel, I'm guessing you're probably in the 132-134 PF. I'm guestimating, 4.2gr - 4.3gr of TG behind a 115gr pill shot from a 4.8" barrel might get you in the 128-130PF but don't quote me on that. Only way to find out for sure is to chrony 'em.

Nice! That's good to know. Just waiting for Shooting Chrony to send me back my unit so I can verify my loads. It was under reporting velocities by around 140-160fps and the odd 1500fps for a 45ACP. Argh!

Thanks, maybe someone will have a chronograph,at the course,or I may have to dip in to my scope fund.

Quickload says you're looking at 950fps and a PF of 108.9 (4"bbl)
but that's with a jacketed bullet, I don't have the Campro database

My 'safe' IPSC PF load is 124 gr Campro RN, Federal SP primers (if I can get them), 3.9 gr TG. Gives my me about 130-131 PF out of my Shadow 2...with no probs taking steel down at distance...provided I hit it.

Think your load of 3.6 TG with 115 TG will likely fail or come verrryy close to failing Production Minimum PF.

As eluded above, other problem with playing the lowest possible PF game is it will likely give you probs taking steel down unless you hit it just right in the sweet spot. It's a balancing game.

OP made a typo, he says he's running 4.6gr TG with his 115gr pills.

I don't personally know anyone using 115's. Everyone I know is using 124 or 147, lots of data for those. In the long run, I would consider running 124's

Hope he's more careful reloading than he is typing lol.

In the reloading world that's a big big typo...and why you never take reloading advice 'recipes' from some unknown source on these forums without doing your own homework!!

At 4.6 gr TG with a 115 gr Campro bullet that would be a pretty hot round that would easily pass PF and then some!!

At 4.6 hrs TG with a 115 gr Campro guessing that would be a pretty hot round that would easily pass PF.
Max load is 4.8.
So I should be good.

The typo had me second guessing as well.
I checked my scales and they're set at 4.6, as I've still got 400 more to go:)
