Deutz F4L 514 Tractor manual

You may find this a strange request on CGN but I have a farming background and love to 'tinker" with old tractors and Bulldozers etc. Have rebuilt several and love to play with them on my 75 acres of hay and in my gravel pit. My last acquisition is a super old Deutz F4L 514 tractor. I think I may have to split her as the clutch is faulty. I am looking for both an operators and maintenance manual, I have sourced a spare parts book, any assistance would be gratefully received.

Hey,

Have you tried calling these guys?

http://www.agkits.com/search.aspx?find=Deutz+(Allis)+manual&Submit=Search

I don't see the 514 model there, but I am unfamiliar with Deutz and there may be cross referencing of model numbers. I know Massey Ferguson tractors used to be annoying for that where model 121B in Canada was 212A in 'Murica as an example.

And this guy on Ebay DID have one listed, but the sale has ended; maybe a quick e-mail to him could point you in right direction to finding one of these?

Thanks for the tip, I will try the first one and that parts manual on e-bay was purchased by me. Cheers

Also suggest you go to the German Ebay (Ebay.De) and search there for parts or manuals. I once needed the torques and specs for a Opel Olympia 1.5L motor that was getting rebuilt in Canada. I Googled Opel Olympia Clubs in Europe that provided me about 25 clubs listed and I started sending my requests out, shortly thereafter a professor from the University of Augsburg replied (who just had a thing for Opel engines and was a GREAT help). The parts/info are out there and the internet is the greatest at connecting the dots.

DAC Engine Inc, In Dartmouth NS I did a work term there and theyre are a Deutz dealer. Manager is Former military, I know they had manuals galore and probably fax you a copy of what you need.

I found this link by searching DEUTZ Traktoren then hit the translate button on their website. Then clicked the manuals heading. Then that should take you to all available manuals in PDF format.

Give these guys a call as I have bought several aftermarket tractor manuals from them. The manuals are not expensive and not overly in depth but seem to cover all the basics. Their called Central East Farm Supply. www.cefs.ca or .com. Hope this helps----Dieseldog!:)

Contact Deutz in Germany they have everything you are looking for. It was one of the first tractors I have operated. Kramer, Eicher and Fendt after that...

Thanks for all the imput. I have lots of info on the engine but so far next to nothing on the tractor. I got her started today, runs well but the clutch is "toast" will have to split the tractor to replace the clutch. I don't think this should be to bad assuming I can get parts.

I don't know if Mr. Wolverine mentioned that it is a fairly early model.

Hey boss, I could use tracks right now. Baling in a soft spot this evening, burried tractor, hurried tractor I went to pull it out with, shut them both off and will take a fresh look tomorrow.
