Devcon half full?

Hi everyone,

I just received my two 1lb containers of Devcon, and had a quick peek inside. Both of them are only half full. Is this normal? I'm thinking yes since both of mine are about the same. Neither one came sealed. The hardener is sealed, but that's it.

I guess I should have mentioned in my first post that my scale went tits up, and the bathroom scale doesn't register that light.

If it's looking to good to be true then it is.
That's everyday deception....every time you are buying big bag of potato chips for instance expect to be only 1/4 full....

Devcon is sold by weight. If you want more goop in the can, buy Devcon F Aluminium putty. More in the can than if you buy the steel version. All I have ever used is the Aluminium F putty.

Devcon changed their packaging again, larger box larger containers but 2lbs total weight. The aluminium gives you more volume but the cost is a lot more.

They have so much room in the cans because you can mix the whole batch in the one can if you want. Of course for bedding and whatnot you're not going to do that.
