Developing 300Wm Gain Twist 18-10 Load - any experience?

Hi all,

As the title says I am working up a load for my 300wm, It has a 24.5" 18-10 gain stainless Ron Smith Barrel on a 1903a3 Remington receiver.

I have been using 180's for hunting and have been happy but now want to develop a long range load using Sierra 220 Matchking BTHP, H1000

Any special issues that I need to look at because it is a gain twist?

Insight's? advice?

The gain twist barrel will have little or no effect on load development. Of the three I have, one takes slightly higher charges, one takes significantly lower charges, and the third is just average. This refers to pressure/velocity levels, BTW. So, just about the same as any other barrel. All three shoot well and one is truly exceptional.
 
Awesome thanks, have been really happy with this barrel - truth of the matter is that it shoots better than I can. I was thinking that maybe because of the twist change I would need a bullet with less bearing surface, sometimes I overthink.
