I want to shoot 200grain Accubond bullets in my 300 H&H Mag. FN Mauser Supreme. (Commercial FN98 action).

The suitable powders that I have on hand are VV N560, IMR7828SSC and H4831. I also have some AA4350, but that is likely too fast a powder for that application.

300 H&H mag load data is hard to come by, since the cartridge is somewhat obsolescent. There are so few rifles chambered in that cartridge, that powder companies do not seem to care about developing loads.

I found no published loads for the IMR 7828. I interpolated the 300 WSM and 300 WM load data, since the H&H is slightly smaller than the WM and somewhat larger than the WSM. Max pressures are comparable, especially since this is a strong action. I have yet to shoot that load.

The Nosler published load for H4831 for a 200Gr bullet is significantly lower than the Hodgdon published load for a 200 gr. jacketed bullet. Same thing with the Nosler load for N560, which is lower than the Vihtavuori published load for N560.

Is there any load info, suggestions or experience that you guys would like to share?

I've found the Nosler data fairly "soft" compared to other manuals and what I've actually been able to achieve in my rifles ( .30/06, .270, 7x57). I couldn't find any data specific to 7828, but there's lot of 4831 data out there. I would consult a burn rate chart, find something in the same ball park as 7828, start low and work up from there.

IMR7828 is very close to RL25 in burn rate, and the Lyman manual recommends RL25 for that combination (i.e. 300 H&H Mag and 200 gr. jacketed bullet)
