Found a couple of 64 round boxes in an out of the way gun shop. Any info you have on this head stamp would be great "DI 43 9mm" Judging by the boxes it is definitely surplus and the 43 I am assuming it means 1943.

It is non-corrosive, like DI .303 ammunition.
It isn't rare, although full, clean boxes aren't as common as they once were.
Incidentally, CIL (Dominion Ammunition) had a standard warning on its commercial 9mm ammunition not to shoot Sten gun ammunition in Luger pistols.

DI is Defense Industries, Montreal. If the boxes are sealed it might have some collector value.
Really no such thing as STEN ammo. Same ammo was issued to troopies who carried a BHP. Lugers ain't the same as a BHP.
