We've been "Dialing-In" 7mm Backcountry setups and the results have been very satisfactory. The increase in velocity is as advertised: 20" barrels shooting the 175gr Fusion tipped ammo have been clocking in between 3009 and 3034 fps. The recoil pulse of the 7mm BC is also remarkable with minimal muzzle rise and the rifle coming relatively straight backwards, allowing for greater retention of sight picture during the firing sequence. We had been advised about the mild recoil of this caliber for some time, but were skeptical given the considerable increase in case pressure (80,000 PSI for the 7 BC vs. 65,000 for other 7mm calibers), however shooting is believing.
