Being an AR newb.....
Should I expect any difficulties installing a Diamondhead VRS rail on a Norc CQ-A? The rail comes with a proprietary barrel nut:

Propriety replacement barrel nut included with rail that allows  for easy installation and elimination of barrel nut timing issues

I am aware I would need to replace the front post sight with a low profile gas block (or cut the factory Norc post down? - think I read some have done that rather than install a low profile gas block when when required).

I don't think you'll have any issues, the Nork delta ring I think can be tight for some replacement handguards, but the nut should be the standard AR15 thread pitch. Just swap out the old for the new barrel nut and torque properly (50-60 foot pounds)

Awesome handguards, just watch the front sight base (if you cut it down) you may need to relief cut the sides of the front sight base as the gas tube channel is fairly narrow, but that's pretty easy to do.
