Diana 34 - shifting POI

Hi All

I have a Diana 34 (.177) and I am troubleshooting a problem which seems erratic. The POI seems to shift after every shot and I have had 2 scopes on it with the same result. I have checked all screws and adjusted the trigger (T05) take up plus used sand bags to try and eliminate myself as the cause. I can adjust scope based on shot placement until it hits dead centre and then it seems to just shoot high, low or off side with no predictability.

The correction adjustments are usually 1-4 inches in whatever direction. I have inspected the muzzle and it looks just fine with no visible markings.

Anyone have a suggestion or similiar past experience?

Is the barrel lock-up tight ? Have you run a brass brush thru the bore ? As geologist said, are you using Artillery Hold or 'holding tight' ? What quality of ammo are you using ? What scope are you using - I've killed 'regular scopes'. You need an 'airgun scope' that can take the 2-stage recoil.
