Hi there, does anyone have any comments about this one? I am thinking of getting one from Reliable on Fraser Street. The main purpose will be to knock off some pesky squirrels on our recreation property. I heard that I'll need high quality pellets as well? Thanks !

It will certainly have enough smack. If you have not shot a magnum springer before, you will need to work on acquiring the necessary shooting technique as magnum springers can be finicky to shoot consistently to the same POI.

Very long spring in this rifle, if tuned will remove much of the problems.
Mine is atock, and bucks hard. But if you hold it right with heavy pellets, its choice, a dampa mount is a good , but not a must. Any 1 Piece BKL 6 screw will not move, or a 4 screw with scope stop.
Aloth of power , and a small game getter inside 75 meters.
The older run 350's have a nicer stock.
In 22 cal this gun is pretty hard to beat.
Scope, any 3200 series, or 4200, older vintage fixed power , etc

I just got one in .22 cal. Ruger No. 1 is right, I have never really shot a magnum springer and I was very, very discouraged the 1st outing. Discouraged to the point of possibly selling it and going with something not as powerful, HW 95 in .22 cal.

It does have the power though.

They settle down somewhat after 2-3000 pellets.Likely dry as a bone lubwise from the factory as well. Some have predamaged seals and or bent mainspring.Macarri used to make a kit with a set spring ,tophat and guide then add an Apex seal and they smooth out real nice.......Harold you should be running between 850-900 fps pellet dependant......

Harold is right on the money, velocities are pellet dependant like any other rifle. Mine shoots 14.2gr RWS SuperHollowpoints at 880fps.

The 350 Magnum is in my opinion is one of the BEST if not the best hunting springers available. It's power is almost unmatched unless you get into the Gamo Extremes which aren't in the same league quality wise.. HW have some beautiful springers like the HW77, Hw80 etc but they're not in the same power category..

Choose your scope wisely because the 350 will kill a scope that's not rated for magnum spring guns fast.

As for shooting technique it's quite easy. Don't be discouraged from all the stuff you read about shooting these rifles.. When you shoot it, do not grip the forestock.. Open your hand with palm facing up and just let the rifle lay on the palm of your hand. No grip.. You'll get the hang of it..

RVD et al,

Thanks for all of the information. I really appreciate it. I will continue to check out a few more things before heading down to Reliable. Thanks again.

RVD you are so right about grib. I have a model 48. If you grip it tight it shoots ok not good, let it float and it shoots one hole groups...
