Help please

I was trying to remove the Cylinder hinge lockscrew to remove the cylinder and replace the breech seal. Tried with several Allen key to get it to unscrew and it would not budge. After several attempts, now no allen key will work as he hole on the screw is round. how can i now get this screw removed?

If it is truly buggered, drive a close fitting torx bit into the hole, it has worked for me in the past.
Some heat from a soldering gun on the screw first may help, if there is any thread locker on the set screw .
Good luck!

Try a torx bit as mentioned above. It may have been a torx screw in the first place. And if there is any tension on the screw release that first.

If you have a problem getting an Allen Key style tool just get a Socket Torx. 1/4" or 3/8" drive should help. Good luck.
Where did you get the seal kit for the Diana 48? BB

Yeah Torx drive or the next size up Metric or Inch size key, and some persuasion with a hammer to jam it in the hole. Note that this is a poor idea if this is a set screw, down a hole, as driving the larger bit into it may expand it and lock it in place.
I have also found, that very often, by cutting the end off the worn hex key, you can get to an unworn section, and that section of the key will grip a fastener that has not been completely stripped out.

Otherwise it becomes a carving exercise, with a Dremel tool to make a slot to remove the screw with. Or the screw gets drilled completely out.

I've removed frozen/stripped head socket bolts from model airplane engines by drilling out the hole in the head to a depth equal to the thickness of the bolt head. The head just snaps off from the threaded shaft with an allen wrench. After separating the parts I grabbed the protruding threaded shaft with pliers and twisted it out.

Thanks for the info but the location of the hex screw is deep in the caulking chamber and other then an Allen key long nose pliers will not help nor can I get a drill in there
