Originally it was a toss up between the Diana 56 TH and a TX200. But shooting LH the 56TH is probably the better option. Personally I prefer a 177 for target. I was wondering if there's anyone with personal experience with this airgun? Cheers.

The Diana 56 Target Hunter is a semi-recoilless springer with power similar to the hard hitting Model 48 and 54 rifles. Its ambidextrous stock allows it to be shot left handed, but the cocking lever remains on the right hand side. It's high power may be detrimental to best accuracy if the air rifle is mainly for target shooting. A rifle with 12 foot pound of energy at the muzzle would be a better shooter as typical .177 cal. pellets will have an MV around 800 fps.

The Air Arms rifles are very well made, but the challenge is finding one in a left hand stock. Airgun Source has 12 ft lb TX200 III rifles, but none are in stock.

Alternative good choices would include the Weihrauch HW 97k, which has an ambidextrous stock and cocking lever. The break barrel HW98 is also an excellent target rifle.

I have used the 48 and the 52,both in 22 cal which I think is the best choice ,however with the heavy 177 pellets available today you could use it stock ,and get good accuracy.
My preference in 177 would be tx 200 ,prosport and the weihrauch 97/77
, in a breakbarrel the hw 95.
It depends alot on how you are going to use it,kelly

The Dianas side lever was a pain to #### left handed this rifle is more a bench shooter rather than for hunting (my opinion based on how much of a contortionist you need to be to #### this rifle in prone position)

I've been checking out the HW 97 and quite impressed. Especially when I saw it in stainless. I think that is the route I'm going to go. Just a matter now of finding it in stock.
Cheers.
