Diana Air rifle Help !!!

Hey thanks, not sure what to think of that review, or even if he's talking about the #20 , cause he don't mention it, and pic is not of the #20. A good review though, whatever the gun was. :) talks about rust in the bore from the factory:eek:

Probably the best on the market for your little guy.

Several sellers in Canada, w w w.dlairgun.com/Diana.htm should have stock. You wont be disapointed.

Ask on the airgun forum and someone with one will give you an opinion.
The 20 is the least expensive of the modern Diana airguns. I've read that the trigger is not the best - very simple. The recent ones may be better.
The Diana 24 is the next step up. The latest model out for the last couple of years is marked T05 and is an excellent gun. Trigger is great out of the box and is adjustable. Sights are good and the gun shoulders nice. Very accurate.
Available as a carbine or long barrel. Rated at 500 fps, no PAL but most people find that it shoots close to 600 with common pellets.
The Slavia 630 and 631 are both good choices for 500 fps airguns. They are cheaper - around $150. Home Hardware would order them in from the catalogue - don't know if they still do.

Hey thanks , will certainly be looking at one, its the first step for my grandson , he's ready :dancingbanana:

diana model 20.

Levi I bought a model 20 new in 2000 and paid around 220$ for it at a local gunshop. As a first airgun that wasn't from "Crappy tire" I was very satisfied with it. I could consistently hit a nickel or paintball at 20-25 yards with it all day. Fit and finish was great for a low-end model. Trigger is a bit creaky and break sometimes unpredictable but you get what u pay for.
As a rifle for a youngster to learn the fundementals I think it can't be beat, and I would be willing to bet it would still be around for your great-grandchildren to shoot as well. :) Just don't pay too much for it.

P.S. it comes with removable iron sights that are quite easy to use and with a machined groove for optics if the little guy wants to step up.

Cheers,
Mad Mikey.

I only had the model 34 but it was very nice. I think they build a good air rifle.

Hey thanks again everyone, so much  No question, range report will follow the purchase, just don't be to hard on the little guy. Thanks for the report on the model #20:cool:

So you are going to let the little guy shoot it right?

I've got the model 34 T-05, .22 cal. Great gun. Put a Leupold Ultralight VX-II 3-9x33mm scope on it. It literally blows those troublesome, problem causing, personal property damaging tree rodents right out of the trees.

If you put a scope on what ever you buy, get a couple of those scope blocks/stops what ever you want to call them because it will creep off the rail without two. One won't do it, at least it didn't for me.
