Hi Everybody,

I am thinking about getting a bit more into air-gunning, and as a complete noob I have a question, possibly one thats been asked a fair bit already...

I have a Diana model 24 in .177, which I have been shooting for about 10yrs now, and it has treated me very well. I am however interested in uprgrading to something that has a bit more jam, i.e 1000fps, and was wondering if it is possible to simply upgrade my 24 with new spring and seal kit ect? Would this perhaps be an economical and logical idea, or should I just buy a whole new rifle?

I am also unsure if it would even be legal to do so, since your now creating a new firearm.

Thanks!

No
You cannot upgrade your 24 into a 1000 fps gun. There is not enough chamber-piston length a 24 won't go any faster than 600 in 177.
You need to upgrade your rifle.
May I suggest a Diana 34 since you already have a great quality airgun and you may be let down by a lesser brand. Or possibly a Weihauch?
Good luck
