a friend of mine just pointed out that the integrated front sight that comes on the tavor with the full length rail is in fact a tritium sight. why have i never seen any advertising about this? further more why hide it with the flip up sights over top of the integrated sights? any way just thought i would point it out. cheers.

Yes, Tavors are always a good surprise. Just like the mossad.... surprise, you're dead...

I noticed right away they were both tritium. Non-advertised that's for sure. I took the flip ups off and put them on the KSG. I may put them back on the Tavor though only because the intergrated sights look like an absolute last resort type of set up.

Found this little blurb on tritium on the inter webs

"Main article: Tritium illumination
The emitted electrons from the radioactive decay of small amounts of tritium cause phosphors to glow so as to make self-powered lighting devices called betalights, which are now used in firearm night sights, watches, exit signs, map lights, and a variety of other devices. This takes the place of radium, which can cause bone cancer and has been banned in most countries for decades. Commercial demand for tritium is 400 grams per year[3] and the cost is approximately US $30,000 per gram.[25]"
