Did I get a good deal on my mint condition Glock 17 Gen 3?

New to guns, but always interested in military history and the equipment from different eras and regions from the past. Even if it be old historic pieces of the past, I can appreciate old to new tech in rifles and handguns. I wanted to start simple, and I found this locally from a fellow sold as a package deal including some ammo. The gun itself had a very low shot count on it, and you could tell all the magazine springs were all really stiff still. I took his word for it that it had been a safe queen, I am very happy with my purchase. I did a bit of research to decide on whether or not the gen 3 was too outdated... but I found that it is a tried and true unit so what better choice to go with something with a proven track record. I didnt need the ambi operation the newer glock had to offer so I couldn't really be bothered with the extra price tag.

What do you think I paid for this package:

Glock 17 Gen 3 - Used but mint condition
Trijicon green sights
Grip tape
5 mags
1 holster
2 2x mag holsters
200 ammo rounds 9mm
glock case
combo trigger lock

I feel like I got a very good local deal,all things considered, with the ammo, but then again... I don't know what my old glock is worth anyhow lol. All that matters is that I am very happy with the hardware.

Considering the new and improved gen 5 that's brand new for 750$+tx, And that 200x rounds of 9mm is not worth more than 40$ to me,
i'd say the package is worth 500$, and personally wouldn't be into it for more than 450$.
 
I agree with marty^ I'd say $450-$550 at the most. The holster and mag pouches don't add much unless their something quality and case and trigger lock don't add any value since the case comes with the gun. The ammo adds $50 in value the trijicon sights and mags add the most value to that package.
 
Gen 3, priceless.

Well said, 3's are tried and true. Too many issues on the gen 4's, gen 5's to be determined as of yet(No doubt they cheapened them out, not knocking them, just sayin').

If you got the frying pan finish it's a real score.

People selling for less are dumping it...
Each mag is worth 35 $ soooo people saying 550 are full of hot air.

I have never had a gen 3 not go bang... EVER
 
Yo gen 3 was the illest glizzy. Tha street got mad love fo da 3gen. Da 4 and 5gen aint prove theyselves. They still tite straps but da 3rd be tha illest. gang gang
