Just received a used pair of Troy Battle sights I purchased off the EE. The only problem is every other set I have ever seen has the Troy stamp and Lot= on the front of each sight. Everything else looks and feels right. They do have a stamp on the bottom and are nice and tight. My question is....did they ever make them without the Troy name stamped on the front? Any input would be appreciated.

I believe Troy changed the location of their stamp some time ago, the sets I've had all had the stamp on the bottom. They do look like the real deal I would say they're good to go.

Great to hear, like I said they look and feel solid.

Every set of Troy Battle Sights that I have seen always had the Troy markings on the bottom and the front.

They have these markings lasered on the front, not painted on.

1st line: Folding Battle Sight
2nd line: Cage Code number or P/N number
3rd line: Troy Industries Inc.

Troy also makes Battle Sights with manufacturers logo on them. S&W M&P, Ruger, Noveske etc

Just received a PM from a reputable member on CGN stating to his reckoning early Troy sights were not stamped on the front. Will sight them in this weekend and see for myself.

send a high resolution pic to Troy and ask for their opinion. I bought a video surveillance card on ebay and it was FAKE. The first clue was no UPC code on the factory box. I sent a high res pic to the manufacturer and they told me it appears to be a good quality fake. I then made a (FRAUD ALERT) complaint and the seller wanted me to ship it back and then they would pay that shipping and refund my costs for the card. I told them doing so would put me in a position of violating Canadian export laws not to mention being in possession of fake merchandise. Told them I will ask the RCMP to destroy it. I got all my money back.

Do a search on eBay and see how many fakes there are...lots. Here's one.

Far as I know, there isn't a 'set'. The contract is only for rear sights since the patrol carbine comes with the Colt folding front sight.

That said, it's just about impossible to get the rear sight laser engraved that way from Troy.
