the frames especially if they are pre 1946, are of great value to someone with a 12.6 and wats to give some pre 1946;s to their child, and still keep that status,,

I think your fine.
You did not sell them it was destroyed in a fire.

they weren't all destroyed, pick a 12.6 gun and "rebuild it", in the mean time buy another and be done with it
