Did impulse get the best of me ?

Hi , here I am opening myself up for abuse . I just made a trade - my ruger #1 in 300 win mag for a Remington 700p in 223 . Both guns in good shape . I inherited my brothers guns and have 3 in 300 win ,put it up for sale when offered this trade . The 700p has the hs presission stock and a rail and timmey trigger
I valued my ruger at $1050 . Give me a kick or tell me the 700p heavy barrel is a good gun .
I doubt my impulse deals but gotta be me so let's here what you want to tell me
 
I had heard that Remington barrels were a crap shoot......except the Sendero, 5R, and Police models. My question would not be the rifles straight across, being a hunter, and already having a 22-250, i would have to want a 223 pretty bad to trade a 300...any 300 for one.

Nice, it has a rail and a timney .....which is somewheres from $150-250.

Probably got one of the best rifles, short of custom >>>>i pity the paper this fall and winter, and the p-dogs next spring.
 
If that's what you valued your ruger at it was fair the 223 is great under 500 yards if it's a 1-9 or faster even better I love my xcr tactical 223 my sps not so much.

Not just a plain ole Timney, a Calvin Elite. $350ish

LOL , wondered if you would see this , nice to know about the trigger . I did not know that , like I say impulse . Do you know what twist it has

Just so the rest of you know , I'm anxiously awaiting this gun as the deal was just done

I'm pretty sure it's a 1-9" twist. It loves 69gr Matchkings.
