I shoot cast in 308 but have not done any powder coating
where did you get your load data?

my best results have been with lighter charges and heaver bullets
have not had any luck with lighter bullets than 150g in a semi

I make up my own data ;)

I'm about 5 grains below starting load for copper bullets. When I get a chance I'll put it over my Chrony. I want a cheap alternative for when I bring out friends to put lead down range. Keep the good bullets for serious range work.

I used up the last of my 3031 powder making up cast loads for my Nork with the RCBS 30-155-SIL. I used a very light load of 27.2 gr. and other shooters thought that it had no recoil. Out of 160 rounds shot over four range trips, I had three failure to feeds. In two of them, the bullet was pushed back into the case, so there wasn'the quite enough neck tension. The third was a short stroke event. Perhaps my fingers were resting on the opposite rod. In any event, the Nork is very accommodating with cast reloads.

Right now my stock pile of thousands of cast bullets are all Alox coated.

Waiting for the weather to cool off a bit to cast 150s for powder coating. Those 130 were the first kick at the can.
