did the Mossberg 500 ATP ever make it into Canada ?

It was a pre 590 model made between 1978 - 1983. Apparently the serial numbers start with "H".
 
It sure did. mines a 1974 all original :)

Very nice DILLIGAF ! Wood looks great. And gotta say I love your chopped 870. Grabbed a picture of that some time ago.

The 500 ATP I have seen literally looked like a 20" 590/590a1 with wood stock & forend from the factory. Wood was a light colour. It's not the typical 500 barrel and mag tube setup. Looks very different than your ATP.

I bought that for 200$ for a project gun...lol... Glad I did some research before destroying it. Lots of version of the ATP were made, Never seen another one for sale yet. I sent my serial to Mossberg and they gave me the month and date of production.

All it needed was new springs and she was back up and running.
 
Yes, starting to learn there were different ATP versions.

never seen any for sale up here either.

Did you stain that 870 stock or just the linseed oil ? That's some nice wood on the Mossberg.
