5 weeks after I passed my cfsc course I finally get something in the mail , its my hunting license card , I didn't get any test results or anything like that

Is this all I need ?
Do I just photocopy it and send it in with my pal application ?

Duh? A hunting license is ONLY a hunting licence. When you get your CFSC results then you send that in with your PAL application. They are entirely different. One is federal CFSC and one is Provincial (hunting card).
By the way...you did say you passed the CFSC course right?

yes I did pass my CFSC , but my friend is telling me since I have the letters "FL" on my hunting license card all I need to do is photocopy both sides and send it in , that's what he did and it worked

and I Just checked the legend on the back of the card

F=chasee avec arme a feu
L= cours canadien de securite dans le maniemnet des armes a feu et examen

I'm in the same boat. I'm filling out the form for my PAL and I also only got a card, no test results.

Should photocopies of this card be attached or can we just write the certificate number from the card on the application form and have them look it up on file?

Also, I passed my CFSC several years ago and without any exam results paper, I don't have a record of what date I passed (which they ask for on the form).

I'm guessing the CFC number (1-800-731-4000) is the place to call to get clarification on this stuff?

You will still need to complete the 921 PAL form and send it along with a photocopy of both sides of your hunting card. The classification on the card indicates your passing of the course. No other info is required as far as the gun course is concerned.

Quick follow up.

I called the CFC to clarify the questions above.

The answers straight from the source are:

-attach photocopies of both sides of the CFSC card with the PAL Application form

-for the date you passed the CFSC asked for on the form, the lady said it's not really critical provided they
have the photocopies of your CFSC card. I'm just going to write something like 'on file. Certificate #XYZ. See attached documents' for that part of the form

Thanks to those who replied above also. It's not that I don't trust your advice (which turned out to be right), but it's always nice to get the official answer.

take it from a fellow MTLer send a color copy of your card both sides along with a color copy or you remq card or drivers license along with your application also if you applie for you non res pal before your res pal you save the 20$ difference (just putting that out there)
