Today at a local gun show in Buckhorn Ontario, a vendor had a German k98 for sale, it was all matching with laminate stock. I don't recall the factory 3 letter abbreviation but it was a 1943. I thought maybe it was a Russian capture? It had a bent bolt but it was in very rough shape. The barrel was pitted on the outter surfaces. The bore was poor as well. The eagle markings were intact but not clear, the cleaning rod was missing. The bottom metal didn't have the typical locking screw "setup" so they weren't there in the first place .... I walked away from it because of poor condition. However the seller only wanted $350. He would have gone $300 but I backed out.
Bad move guys??? :s
