A few photo's of an air dropped German propaganda leaflet. This one was found by a Canadian serviceman who was on the detail to find and destroy the leaflets that were dropped over the Russell Square area of London England. The leaflets were to be turned in and destroyed but a Canadian soldier from Grand Prairie Alberta: who was an old friend, kept this one and gave it to me many years ago. It is in horrible shape as he carried it in his pack till the end of the war.
I know of no others in existence.

Photo's are not in order as photobuck is giving me a real problem and are not complete as to size due to the size of my scanner

There's a German propaganda movie about the raid on St. Nazaire telling how stupid and what a bunch of bunglers the Brits were. The movie was made before the delayed action charges in the Cambeltown exploded . ;)

Grizz

I have seen one of those in a WW2 museum in Ambleteuse, France.

We had just came from Calais and where driving towards Dieppe on our way to Normandy when we came across this interesting museum.

That is a interesting find and to think of where it has been.

I wonder how June 6th 1944 would have gone if the allies had not had the experience of the Dieppe raid to learn from.

It might have gone quite well anyway, but certainly a lot of what didn't go right at Dieppe was made to go right on Overlord because of Jubilee.

The Russian Front didn't go so well for Fritz. The Propaganda leaflet for Stalingrad or the Gulag isn't too glamorous ...

Thanks for the response on this and interesting it was seen in France as they were dropped over London.
Mine is in horrible shape but mostly intact.
