Dies Compatibility vs Press

Hello everyone,

I heard a while ago that some dies are compatible between different brands of presses.

Like Lyman dies can be used on an RCBS press.

Lee dies cannot be used on any other presses than those made by Lee.

Is it true?

Is there a "compatibility list" of some sort regarding that?

Standard dies rifle and pistol including Lee dies can be used in any press as a rule. Unless of course you are getting into large dies like the .50 cal.

I have a set of lee dies and use them in an RCBS rock chucker

Dies are usually all threaded the same. Any dies will likely fit in other manufacturers presses.

The only press that uses a different type of die is a Dillon Square Deal.
