Anyone used one in a tent?
I’m thinking it would be quicker than gathering wood for a travelling hunter and maybe take less space than a stove/pipe/saw/axe?

You can get a Chinese heater thays a standalone unit, and run a long hose for the heater to blow right in the tent.

Does use a lot of battery though. Dont remember how much but a RV deep cycle would maybe last a week worth of nights. 0.5ah minimum setting, 1 amp on economy and 3 or so on full blast.

Lots of people I know using the Amazon standalone versions for their roof top tents. I haven't yet, but plan to this winter.

Used one for a few years now. They work great. Just be aware that if it isn't too cold out you will be sleeping on top of your sleeping bag. Lol. This one needs no power or glow plugs. So much better than a wood stove in a wall tent IMO.

This is the one I use: https://www.deluxewalltents.com/diesel-heaters/

starvin, DM me if you have any questions.

What size heater are you using in what size tent?

I bought a new old stock surplus H45 heater about 10 years ago. It is great. I use it in a 12x20 tent. It burns about 10 litres a night on low.
