I tried using molyslip to lubricate the piston / cylinder / spring of my Webley Tempest once, I got the slip rings from TR Robb at one time, I don't know if the slip rings did anything, I also have a TR Robb mainspring in there, it looked like a quality item the last time I looked at it. Anyways I used the molyslip spray on those parts of my Tempest and I tried some test rounds against a steel plate in my apartment, the pellets were the Beeman perfect rounds, and some regular Crosman pellets, well, I fired a test shot into the steel plate and noticed the gun had cocked itself and for fun I tried another few shots with the lights off, yup, there was a muzzle flash, sparks came out the barrel about 3" or so, so I stripped her down and gave it a good cleaning, there was nothing left of the pellets, I would not advise anyone try this, but it gives you some idea of how good the Webley products are; the gun was none the worse for wear as far as I could tell after this punishment.
