Montana Golds are FMJs, not CMJs; are you maybe thinking of enclosed-base FMJs?

Actually MG calls them CMJ's as it's not just a base it's cup over a cup...
You't can't really do a true encasulted CMJ with a Jacketed bullet since the jacket is pre-formed....

Let's correct this. MG makes FMJ (open base) and CMJ (closed base). The CMJ's are closed with a plug of copper, as is clear in the previous pic by Dansy.

There is more than one way to make a CMJ. The 'other' way is to copper-plate a lead bullet, which is how Frontier, Excel, Xtreme, and Speer (although they call it TMJ) does it (with varying degrees of copper thickness and overall precision).
